The suspect was arrested after police said he tricked a woman who was waiting in the parking lot outside a business while her son was shopping inside. —

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A 37-year-old Bryan man was arrested Friday after police say he lured a woman out of a parked vehicle and then rummaged through it.
Mario Gooding was booked on a charge of Burglary of a Vehicle and released Sunday on a $5,000 bond.
According to the arrest report, College Station police responded to a business on Texas Avenue around noon Friday for a reported vehicle burglary.
The victim told police he went inside the business while his mother waited in the vehicle. Police say Gooding opened the driver’s side door and told her, “Your husband needs help inside.” Believing her son was in distress, she rushed inside, where she quickly realized there was no emergency.
Police say Gooding went through the vehicle while the mother and son were inside. When the victim returned, he found the center console wide open. Nothing was reported missing.
Police say store security video corroborated the victims’ account.
Gooding went into the store and was followed by the victims, who flagged down a uniformed Texas Game Warden inside. Gooding was detained until police arrived.
