These and other arrests were made despite attempted interference and smears by a handful of sanctuary politicians in the state
WASHINGTON – The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement highlighting examples of the worst illegal aliens that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have arrested in the state of Texas.
“The men and women of ICE have arrested some of the most heinous criminal illegal aliens in Texas, including terrorists, pedophiles, drug traffickers, and fugitives wanted for murder,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. “DHS will never apologize for removing these criminals from our communities, because deporting illegal aliens saves lives. If sanctuary politicians like the Mayor of Austin had their priorities straight, they’d stop putting the needs of illegal aliens over the safety of the American people.”
ICE recently came under attack from sanctuary politicians in Texas, including:
Representative Greg Casar, who said “we will all be more safe when ICE gets the hell out of Austin, Texas.”
Representative Lloyd Doggett, who falsely claimed that illegal aliens “are not posing any danger to our community and are contributing to our community,” while also saying that ICE “acts in a secretive way as if it’s above the law.”
Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, who falsely claimed that ICE has a “rogue nature” and “foment[s] chaos.”
Austin City Councilwoman Krista Laine, who falsely claimed that ICE is “terrorizing our cities and threatening the safety of our residents.”
Among the worst aliens arrested in Texas are:
Nazira Haji Zada, an alien from Afghanistan who had been residing in Fort Worth, Texas, deported in September 2026 after she supported a plot to commit an ISIS-inspired mass shooting on Election Day in 2024. She is now permanently inadmissible to the United States.

Pedro Trejo Reyes, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE in July 2025. His criminal record includes a conviction in Texas for repeatedly sexually assaulting his 12-year-old niece, resulting in her pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage in 2011, as well as a conviction for driving while intoxicated. ICE deported him on July 17, 2025.
Eduardo Aguilar, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested in October 2025 after posting a video to TikTok in Spanish soliciting the murder of ICE agents and offering a $10,000 reward.
Jose Fuentes-Sanchez, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE in September 2026. His criminal history includes convictions for evading arrest/detention using a vehicle and resisting an officer in Austin, Texas.
Sergio Ehuan-Canul, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE in September 2026. His criminal history includes a conviction for attempted indecency with a child – sexual contact in Randall County, Texas.
Francisco Sanchez-Villarreal, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE in September 2026. His criminal history includes a conviction for possession with intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine in McAllen, Texas.
Nolasco Bautista-Santiago, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE in August 2026. His criminal history includes a conviction for indecency with a child – sexual contact in Edinburg, Texas.
Jesus Ivan Alvarez-Ceteno, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE in August 2026. His criminal history includes convictions for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and illegal possession of a machine gun in Dallas, Texas.
