Dallas fire claims one life, leaves another hospitalized—
DALLAS, Texas — A fire at a Dallas home resulted in one fatality and left another individual hospitalized, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.
On Tuesday, February 10, at 8:52 p.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue units responded to a 911 call reporting a structure fire at a home located on the 3100 block of Modella Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire coming from the front of the one-story residence.
Initial reports indicated two people were trapped inside, prompting immediate rescue efforts.
Firefighters successfully rescued a woman and a man from the home. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital due to smoke exposure. The woman was reported to be in stable condition, while the man was in critical condition and later pronounced dead, according to the press release.
No other injuries were reported, and firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, declaring an “out taps” at 9:20 p.m. The cause of the fire remains undetermined pending a final ruling by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office on the victim’s cause of death.
