Texas man held on $250,000 bond in child exploitation case—
A 45-year-old Texas man, charged with five sexual-related charges involving Putnam County minors, was ordered held on $250,000 cash bond following his initial appearance in court this week in a case that has taken more than two years to go from an initial report to arrest.
Jay W. Jackson, described in court documents as a teacher in the Xavier, Texas, School for Gifted Youngsters, entered a not-guilty plea and was assigned Chris Parker of Danville as his indigent legal counsel during proceedings before Judge Denny Bridges in Putnam Superior Court.
Judge Bridges also issued no-contact orders for Jackson, of Waxahachie, Texas, in regard to the three minor victims alleged in the case.
