Four McAllen ISD students had their academic work pay off by obtaining the QuestBridge scholarship and receiving a full ride to their university, with most saying that without the award they would not have been able to go to their college of choice.
The four students are McAllen High seniors Grace Sihn and Gerardo Villarreal, Eduardo Cavazos of Achieve Early College High and Fernanda Guerrero of McAllen Memorial and Lamar Academy.
QuestBridge scholarship is a nonprofit organization that connects high-achieving, low-income students with educational opportunities at partner colleges and universities.
