Man dies after being shot in parking lot of Missouri City Walmart
Child was with victim at time of the shooting, but was unharmed

MISSOURI CITY, Texas – Police in Missouri City say a man has died after being shot while he was in the parking lot of a Walmart.
It happened at 6:22 p.m. at the Walmart located at 5501 Highway 6.
Officers arrived and found the man, who had been shot and was unresponsive.
He was treated at the scene before being transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say there was a small child in the vehicle with the victim at the time of the shooting. The child was unharmed.
Authorities say the shooting occurred in the back part of the parking lot away from the store.
Officers are working to notify the family of the victim and reunite the child with other family members.
