Deadly wind storms wreak havoc from Texas to Michigan: See aftermath in photos—
Several people died after damaging winds, large hail and apparent tornadoes blasted parts of the U.S. from Texas to Michigan on Sunday.
Power outages were reported for over 400,000 homes and businesses across five states Monday while extreme weather still poses a threat for tens of millions of residents through the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and central Gulf Coast, according to the National Weather Service.
Strong winds killed two people in northern Indiana on Sunday, one when a truck blew over and another when a downed tree hit a vehicle, officials said. A downed tree killed three people inside a vehicle at a southern Michigan car wash and another downed tree killed one person inside a mobile home in eastern Oklahoma.
Photographers across the USA TODAY Network captured the destruction in several states, including Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
