Texas Woman Booked on Theft Charges in Warren County
A Texas woman is facing a felony theft charge after authorities in Indianola located a vehicle reported stolen out of Texas.
According to court documents filed in Warren County, 50-year-old Angela Marie Carr of Bastrop, Texas, is charged with 1st Degree Theft, a Class C felony.
The complaint states a Warren County Sheriff’s deputy received a FLOCK camera alert at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th, regarding a stolen black Lincoln Mark LT pickup with Texas temporary registration plates. Authorities say the vehicle was located traveling north on Jefferson Way in Indianola, and a traffic stop was conducted near Jefferson Way and Salem Avenue. Court records indicate dispatchers confirmed both the truck and registration were reported stolen out of Texas. Carr, who was identified as the driver, was taken into custody at the scene. According to the affidavit, Carr declined to answer questions after being advised of her Miranda rights.
Carr was booked into the Warren County Jail on the felony theft charge. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Monday, and a cash bond has been set at $10,000.
