NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A Texas man was arrested in North Charleston Thursday after police spotted him driving a vehicle with no license plate, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
28-year-old Bobby Ray Taylor of Houston, Texas was arrested and charged with possession of stolen goods. He also reportedly had several outstanding warrants from nearby agencies, including a warrant from Summerville Police Department for attempted armed robbery.
The report on the incident states that police conducted a traffic stop on Taylor after noticing that the vehicle, which was travelling eastbound on Rivers Avenue, had no license plate displayed.
During the stop Taylor allegedly provided a Texas plate that was found inside the vehicle, however he could not provide registration or insurance documents.
Police checked his records, during which they found that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Texas, and that Taylor had active warrants from nearby areas. Additional holds were placed on him for the other outstanding warrants, and he was booked into Al Cannon Detention Center.
