The court complaint also noted that the victim told her custodian and other family members what Calderon was doing, but while being questioned by an Austin Police Department detective, the custodian admitted to telling them to stop talking about it and that she eventually forgot about it.
Later, the custodian said that she was told the victim had been doing and saying “weird stuff” at school. A meeting with the school counselor allegedly didn’t reveal much she said.
Calderon was eventually arrested on May 9, 2025, but denied anything had happened.
