Dallas police investigate fatal shooting on Great Trinity Forest Way—
DALLAS, Texas — A 37-year-old man was fatally shot, and a teenager was injured in a shooting incident on March 7, 2026, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 10:29 p.m. in the 3400 block of Great Trinity Forest Way. Upon arrival, they found Devodrick Lamont Franklin, a 37-year-old, lying in the doorway with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Dallas Fire Rescue transported Franklin to a local hospital, where he later died. A second victim, a 16-year-old male, self-transported to a hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition.
