Texas man riding dirty with handwritten license plate abandons vehicle to flee police on stolen bicycle—
HOUSTON, Texas — A suspicious vehicle investigation in a known drug area led to the arrest of a suspect by Harris County Precinct 2 deputies on January 7, 2026. The incident occurred in the 8500 block of Winkler Dr, where deputies discovered drugs and a fictitious license plate.
Deputies observed a black Hyundai with a hand-written license plate and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver, identified as Jacob Micah Price, fled on foot and later stole a bicycle to evade capture. A K9 unit tracked Price to a garage in the 8000 block of Barkley St, where he was apprehended, according to a press release from the Harris County Constable Precinct 2.
During the vehicle inventory, deputies found crystal methamphetamine and crack cocaine in a small bag in the driver’s door. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance against Price.
