DALLAS, Texas — Dallas police officers rescued a woman attempting to jump off a bridge early on December 24, 2025. The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. on the 100 block of E Camp Wisdom Road.
Upon arrival, Senior Corporal Timothy Griffin and Police Officer Carlos Gomez found the woman seated dangerously close to the bridge’s edge, according to the Dallas Police Department. Recognizing the immediate threat, the officers quickly approached and managed to grab her arm as she went over the edge, hanging above the S.R.L. Thornton Freeway. Additional officers, including Sergeant Randall Mays, arrived to assist in pulling her back to safety.

The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment by Dallas Fire-Rescue. The Dallas Police Department praised the officers’ swift and selfless actions, stating that without their intervention, the woman would have likely sustained serious injury or death. The department emphasized that the actions of these officers exemplify their commitment to protecting life and serving the community.
