Houston man charged with murder in fatal stabbing of mother—
HOUSTON, Texas — A 34-year-old Houston man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of his mother early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at a residence on Harristown Drive, according to the Houston Police Department.
Gerren Miles Crosson, age 34, is facing charges in the 176th Criminal District Court. The victim, a 71-year-old woman, was found with multiple stab wounds and identified Crosson as the suspect before being transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is working to verify her identity.
Houston police officers responded to the assault call at 2:30 a.m. and detained Crosson at the scene. After further investigation, detectives consulted with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, leading to Crosson’s arrest and charges, stated the source.
