Idle Texas Football stays put in newest US LBM Coaches Poll
Despite a huge shakeup at the top of the newest US LBM Coaches Poll, the Texas Longhorns remain at No. 7. While UT had a bye week, the teams above Texas had a volatile week.
Ole Miss’s upset of LSU, Alabama’s upset of Georgia and Oregon’s overtime win at Penn State jumbled the top six. Ohio State remains No. 1. The Ducks leap to No. 2. Miami on a bye jumps three spots to No. 3. Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Penn State round out the rest of the top six.
The Oklahoma Sooners, also on a bye week, land at No. 8. Indiana and Georgia make the top ten. Alabama moves up five spots. LSU fell nine spots. Florida State, who were upset by Virginia, plummeted eleven spots to No. 19.
The SEC has ten teams in the Top 25. The Big Ten has six teams, including the top two.
